Nice work. One guy posting a vague and ignorant message translates into
"hoards" of people moving from the 5D II to the D700? The dope that just
spend thousands for his cam has no clue whether or not his TTL flash system
is good or not?
Your post just doesn't make sense. Get back to work and come up with better
trolls than this. You've been a huge disappointment lately.
It's "horde", not "hoard". It's a large group, not an accumulation.
(Well, it isn't, but it was alleged)

Canon plans to release the most feature-rich DSLR of all time in the
summer. It'll have over 1000 functions. They figure with their track
record, at least 300 will work and that should be enough to satisfy most
users.

It does if you're not fussed about 25MP and video, and would prefer a more
all-round body with a more versatile AF system and on-board flash instead.

Basically you cannot compare the two except for the fact they are full
frame. They are basically for different purposes. The D700 is for high
ISO performance. The Canon favors larger prints. The D3x combines the
best of the Canon 5d2 and the Nikon D700 as well as breaking the bank and
causing a stiff neck when used all day.
Perhaps we've been whored.....

Please BE SURE to capitalize IMPORTANT WORDS in case you think your
audience is NOT very bright, or you have a limited vocabulary.
But did you hoard a horde of whores??

Could be. I can imagine a history professor at the University of
Baltimore teaching about the "mongrel hoards" led by Ghengis Kahn and
the out-of-staters in the class thinking the old boy was stockpiling
mixed-breed dogs.

About as much credibility as a canon scammer...
The word is horde, not "hoard", you fucking shitstain.

I think I remember reading about that famous splitting, but wasn't it
a rather overweight nuclear physicist who split his pants bending over
to pick up a six-pack of National Bohemian beer?
Given the price of both cameras , I find it difficult to believe that
"hordes" of people have purchased either...
Take Care,
Dudley
I think that the type of people who purchased either would be satisfied.
There might be a very few who want to print very large and feel that the
D700 does not have enough pixel power and the D3X is to pricy. They might
be inclined to go for the Canon 5D2 or maybe (its a stretch) the Sony.
The 5D2 was backordered for months due to the heavy demand.
The Nikons on the other hand are always available at the local Toys R'
Us.
I guess it all depends on your definition of "horde." For me, the crowd
that gathered at the Mall of America to watch Obama take his oath was a
"horde," or maybe the masses of Ipod owners might qualify, but a few
thousand people at the high end of the camera curve doesn't quite make it.
Don't get me wrong, I wish I had either camera (the Canon in particular),
but the numbers just don't justify the hyperbole...
Keep up the good work with yours, Brett, I love hearing about your shots...
Take Care,
Dudley
Well, you know what they say ..... everything is relative, even
incest.
In terms of camera sales, especially high-end camera sales, the Fab
5D2 broke all the records. It was the most anticipated body ever.
More people wanted to get their hands on it than even Rita.
Chuckle...
I didn't realize the numbers were so high... Maybe it does qualify as a
horde... :)
Take Care,
Dudley
Notwithstanding price I have read many reviews that the D3X is king of the
hill but very heavy. I would imagine, depending on final price, that the
upcoming D700X will be a camera of choice when it comes out but I do expect
is to be over a thousand dollars more than the 5D2 giving the Canon the
best value.

They're also selling it in droves after finding out the blessed thing doesn't
like humidity:
http://www.luminous-landscape.com/essays/antarctica-2009-worked.shtml
http://www.afashionshooter.com/2009/02/08/canon-5d2-so-long/
Evidently, the whole thing must be hurting:
http://fakechuckwestfall.wordpress.com/2009/02/14/shut-down-notice-from-canon/
Only Canon marketing could be stupid enough to promote their products through
Usenet scammers and try to shutdown sites like that one...
But don't let reality interfere with the voices...
Well, if there are any 5D2 users who just have to get rid of their camera,
they can always send it to me... I'd be more than happy to play with it...
Take Care,
Dudley

Actually, I'm not "telling you" anything:
those were not links to site of mine, and they are freely available for anyone
with enough brains to go look them up.
Once bitten, twice shy, no? Probably not: canon users tend to be mentally
diminished anyway...
