Has anyone used Epsons Watercolor or Velvet Fine Art paper? What does it
look like in comparison to their Professional Semigloss or Luster Paper?
Curious. Both papers are hard to find so someone must be using and liking
the results. Thanks.

Actually the opposite: these are very textured surfaces that are only suited
to specific goals.

You would use these "art" papers for drawings or for photographs that look
better with a softer, less detailed and more impressionistic paper. For
example you might use glossy paper for sharply detailed photos taken with
direct light and use the Velvet Fine Art for photos taken in diffused, softer
light where the mood is more important than the image details.

Here's a web page from famous Canadian photographer Freeman Patterson showing
some of his impressionistic images, which he prints and sells on what looks
like Somerset Velvet paper, for a better example.

They can be used for any printing, but they work specially well when
certain filters are applied to teh image, watercolor or pencil, for
example.
