FWIW - I looked at several models before settling on a 10" model for $150
from our local Shopko.

Hello, Ray:

Shopko's normal prices are much higher than those of its competitors
(such as Wal-Mart, for instance). Nonetheless, I've found some excellent
clearance items, there, at times.

Among this year's closeout gems, at "my" Shopko (in March), was a Pentax
ZX-60 camera kit ($69.99 USD); it came bundled with a 28mm F3.5-80mm
F5.6 lens and a carrying case.

The ZX-60 is my first 35mm SLR, and I haven't even tried it out, yet.
I'm just too addicted to digital, I guess. :-P

Yes - you have to check on them - particularly with electronics. It seemed
like a decent price compared to what else I was able to find on/offline.
