Sony DSC-D770 Digital Still Camera - Any Comments or Reviews?

I'm thinking about getting this model. I can't seem to find a spec that
states the aperature. I'd be using this in relatively low light
conditions - where I would normally be using a f/2.8 with 800 speed film.
I'd appreciate any comments, references to reviews, or experiences with the
earlier D700 model.

Max aperture is 2.0 at wide angle and 2.4 at tele position.
Max ISO = 400, but be prepared for an awful lot of noise, as with most
digicams at high ISO settings.
OTOH you don't mention the shutterspeeds you generally use. The Sony can
go as far as 4 sec.
At 4 sec, ISO 400 and F2.0, you get interesting results, but don't try
to call it a photo. It looks more like an electronic version of an
impressionist oil painting.

I own a D770. The aperture ranges from f2.0 to f11 depending on the focal
length used. It's by far the best low light camrea I've seen. It beats out
the Pro70 which I also own.
