Michael,
I love the creativity of your picture. The "moment" you captured is great,
but the overeposure draws away from the enjoyment of the scene. It looks
like a sepia conversion, so I think if the color of the reflection had been
captured more fully it would be a much better picture.

Take my feedback as 2 cents worth and keep on shootin'.

Great photo. I liked it so much I was messing around with it a bit and
gave the figures just a hint of transparency. Here it is:

This is what happens at 3am when you can't find anything else to do :)
I will take it off the net in a day or so.

Great picture. I would be tempted to crop away some of the very dark
foreground, leaving a narrow strip for the people to stand on. The dark
black area distracts the eye from the main image. Cropping it away also
moves the people (subject) into the bottom 1/3 of the image - making use of
the 'rule of thirds' compositional technique.

Yep, just tried it, and (at least IMHO) it makes a good picture even better.

That was neat...how is that done?

Very nice. I think the people could be a bit darker to look even more like a
silhouette. and the sun not so bright. I guess the whole picture could be
just a little bit darker or underexpose it slightly. I also agree with the
other poster about cutting off some of the bottom portion. Anyway.....A
really great photo!

It is quite straightforward, actually. In Photoshop do 'duplicate layer'
(I'll call it Layer 2), then immediately change its opacity to 0%.
Now go back to the original layer, select nice pieces of the existing
sea, copy and paste to cover up the people (making sure it is
reasonably consistent with the image). Then go again to Layer 2 and
increase its opacity to the desired level. End of story :)

As long as the area is blown (ffffff - no detail preserved), making it
darker will only substitute a gray hole for a white hole. That looks
even worse. I probably wouldn't bother.
