Has anyone used the above combination of camera and operating system?

Have you encountered any problems?

I want to give the Sony F-717 to someone as a gift and I want to make
certain it will be compatible with their computer and operating system.

Thanks

Shepherd

Since Win98SE fully supports USB, it should work with no problems.

I have the F707 and I use it with 98SE.

I had to install a little USB driver from Sony, specific for this camera. It
will probably be included on the CD that comes with the F717.

After you do this, the camera will appear as another disk drive under "My
Computer" and you can transfer files directly from the camera by dragging them
to one of your hard drives.

I think that Winodows XP has this support already built in.

"Strain the RAM a bit"? What is *that* supposed to mean?
