I tried transferring a picture from my PC (taken originally by my
camera.....but later edited by a graphics program) to my Smartmedia card.
When I played back the picture on my camera monitor, I got an error (Read
Error). Some other pictures on my card seemed to get messed up.....some
blurred and I couldn't zoom in on them. My manual says "an attempt was made
to playback a frame not recorded on this camera".
The image was originally recorded by my camera. Because I edited it, does
that mean I can not transfer it back to my Smartmedia card? When I transfer
an unedited image from my pc to my camera, everything seems ok.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks, Chuck
When you reloaded the image back into the smartmedia it was missing the
camera's data so it gave you an error. Some editors like Photo Shop have the
ability to save this info.
Yours is virtually the only reason to save multiple copies of this data, but
if you really need the feature - you can get it.

But what's troubling me is that occassionally I'll get a 'Read Error' when
trying to view pictures on my camera's lcd and also get a few other blurred
pictures. What's strange is that I can view all the files perfectly when
viewing from my camera on my FinePix Viewer. What can the slide show work
perfectly, yet my camera gets those Read errors and some other blurred
pictures?
Again, any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.
PS: I have a new Fuji 2600Z.
