Have any of you had any experience withe the Ceiva (www.ceiva.com) Digital
Picture Frame. They seem pretty interesting, but at $125 and $90 a year
subscription I wanted to check with you fine folks first
Thanks

Cheap trick! But it does not work. The chance that anyone
interested in discussing Foveon has any knowledge about
the frames you are talking abaout is very low.

Looks absurdly expensive to me.

Andy,
Exactly my purpose. Thank you for taking the time to respond
I bought one of these for my grandma a couple of years ago. She's
going to be 87 in March & doesn't have or know how to use a computer,
& has no desire to learn. She lives 3 hours away from me so it's not
that convenient to drop by with pictures or upload from a compact
flash card, so the Ceiva works perfectly for her situation. She lives
in a senior apartment building & when her friends drop by they're so
impressed that she gets pictures sent to her from so many nieces,
nephews, grandkids, etc. It's a huge hit with her. The only drawback
has been a couple of times when the transformer has burned out. I
contacted Ceiva, they sent me a new one & extended her service. It's
a bit costly at $120 a year, but grandmas won't be around forever so
it's definitely worth it.
