The SPCA of Anne Arundel County, Maryland has the following animals
available for adoption. We are sorry but adoptions are ONLY available
to residents of Maryland.

Adoptable Dogs

KEBE is a Labrador Retriever mix. She is black, has been spayed, and
is 3 years old. She is housebroken. She is good with children. Kebe
(pronounced Key-Bee) needs to be in a yard with a fence at least 6
feet high. She is friendly, active, and friendly. Kebe gets along
with other dogs.
ONYX is a Chow mix. She is black, has not been spayed, and is 1 year
old. She is housebroken. She is good with children. Onyx is friendly,
active, and playful.
SHADOW is a Labrador Retriever mix. He is black, has not been
neutered, and is 3 years old. He is mostly housebroken. He is good
with children. Shadow is friendly, playful, and affectionate.
COCO is a Siberian Husky/German Shepherd mix. She is chocolate and
tan, has been spayed, and is 1 1/2 years old. She is partly
housebroken. She is good with children. Coco is crate trained. She is
playful, smart, affectionate, obedient, and friendly. Coco gets along
with other dogs.
BUTCH is a Dalmatian/Australian Shepherd mix. He is white with black,
has been neutered, and is 10 months old. He is housebroken. He is good
with older children. Butch is shy, active, playful, smart,
affectionate, and friendly. He loves to go jogging, and her is great
when riding in a car.
PEPPER is a Coonhound/Labrador Retriever mix. He is black, has been
neutered, and is 3 years old. He is housebroken. He is good with
children. Pepper has had some obedience training. He is active,
friendly, and affectionate. Pepper gets along well woth other dogs
and cats, and he loves riding in a car. Pepper needs large fenced
yard to play in.
BEAU is a Labrador Retriever mix. She is Black, has not been spayed,
and is 3 years old. She is housebroken. She is good with children.
Beau is smart, playful, friendly, and active.
BALOO is a Doberman Pinscher/Weimaraner mix. He is red and tan, has
been neutered, and is 1 1/2 years old. He is housebroken. He is good
with children. Baloo is active, playful, friendly, and affectionate.
He gets along well with cats and he is great when riding in a car.
Baloo loves attention, and he loves to sleep with people.
JENNY is a Pointer mix. She is white with tan, has not been spayed,
and is 1 year old. She is housebroken. She is good with children.
Jenny is quiet, calm, affectionate, friendly, playful, and active,
She may chew things if left alone too long, so she should be crated.
Jenny gets along with cats, and she is excellent when riding a a car.
WILLIE is a purebred Miniature Poodle. He is white, has been neutered,
and is 8 months old. He is partly housebroken. He is good with
children ages 10 and up. Willie is friendly, playful, active, and
affectionate. He loves attention, and he loves to go for walks.
Willie weighs twelve pounds. Willie comes with a crate, and crating
him when he's unattended will help to complete his housebreaking.
ALLIE is a Labrador Retriever mix. She is black, has been spayed, and
is 9 months old. She is housebroken. She is good with teenagers. Allie
is obedient, shy, smart, affectionate, active, and playful.
SAMMY is a Labrador Retriever mix. She is black, has been spayed, and
is 18 months old. She is housebroken. She is good with children. Sammy
is crate trained. She is friendly, active, playful, and affectionate.
Sammy is wonderful with children.
EBONY is a Labrador/Golden Retriever mix. She is black with some
white, has not been spayed, and is 2 years old. She is housebroken.
She is good with children. Ebony is calm, smart, friendly, and
affectionate. She gets along with other dogs. Ebony keeps her run
clean here at the SPCA. Crating her will help reinforce that she's
housebroken. Ebony is very sweet, and very smart. She will be
featured this week on Adopt-A-Pet on Jones Cable TV, where she was
used as a model to show how to train a dog by the training director
from Canine Training Association. Ebony is a star!
JAKE is a Terrier mix. He is tan, has been neutered, and is 1 1/2
years old. He is housebroken. He is good with children. Jake has had
some obedience training. He is active, playful, affectionate, and
friendly. Jake just loves everybody, and he hopes that each person he
sees walk by will give him a great home. Will you make Jake's dream
come true?
SANDY is a German Shepherd mix. She is white, has not been spayed, and
is 9 months old. She is mostly housebroken. She is good with children.
Sandy is friendly, quiet, playful, and affectionate. She gets along
with other dogs. Crating her will help complete her housebreaking.
Sandy is anxious to become part of a new family.
HUTCH is a Rottweiler/German Shepherd mix. He is black and tan, has
not been neutered, and is 1 year old. He is housebroken. He is good
with children. Hutch is friendly, active, and friendly. He gets along
with cats, and he is fine when left home alone. Hutch loves children.
MAX is a Doberman Pinscher/German Shepherd mix. He is black and tan,
has been neutered, and is 1 year old. He is housebroken. He is good
with children. Max is friendly, active, playful, and affectionate. He
gets along well with other dogs.
J.D. is a Border Collie mix. He is black with white, has not been
neutered, and is 1 year old. He is housebroken. He is good with
children. J.D. is friendly smart, playful, and affectionate. He was
hit by a car three months ago and he had a hairline fracture. He just
needs time for it to finish healing, and the veterinarian said he'd be
fine, although he will have a limp. J.D. needs a new family to pamper
him.
SAMSON is a Labrador Retriever mix. He is black, has not been
neutered, and is 18 months old. He is housebroken. He is good with
children. Samson is quiet, calm, obedient, active, friendly, playful,
affectionate, and smart. He loves children, and he loves riding in a
car. Samson gets along with other dogs. He cries for a few minutes
when left alone in the house, but he settles down, and he doesn't chew
things up. Samson's owners had to give him up when their landlord
unexpectedly changed the pet policy and said no dogs allowed over 30
pounds!
BLUE is a Siberian Husky/German Shepherd mix. He is black and tan, has
been neutered, and is 2 years old. He is housebroken. He is good with
teenagers. Blue is crate trained and needs to be crated when left
alone. He is friendly, active, and playful.
CALLIE is a purebred Chesapeake Bay Retriever. She is red, has been
spayed, and is 4 1/2 years old. She is mostly housebroken. She is good
with teenagers. Callie
DAISY MAE is a Border Collie mix. She is a tri-color, has not been
spayed, and is 3 years old. She is housebroken. She is good with
children. Daisy Mae is playful, smart, and friendly. She gets along
well with other dogs.

friendly, playful, smart affectionate, and quiet.
TARSHA is a DSH. She is black, has not been spayed, and is 1 year old.
She is good with children. Tarsha is friendly, affectionate, playful,
and active.
SADIE is a DLH. She is black with white, has been spayed, and is 4-5
years old. She is good with children. Sadie is declawed on her front
feet. She is friendly, affectionate, shy, obedient, quiet, calm, and
playful.
WILLIE is a DSH. He is an orange tabby, has been neutered, and is 4
years old. He is good with children. Willie is active, playful,
friendly, and affectionate. He gets along with other cats and dogs.
LIYAH is a DSH. She is a tortoiseshell, has been spayed, and is 3 1/2
years old. She is good with children. Liyah is friendly, affectionate,
and playful. Liyah gets along with other cats.
SPARKY is a DSH. He is a grey tabby, has been neutered, and is 1 year
old. He is good with children. Sparky is friendly and playful. He
recently tested negative for Feline Leukemia. Sparky would prefer to
be an only cat.
CUDDLES is a DMH. She is a brown tabby with white, has been spayed,
and is 3 years old. She is good with children ages 6 and up. Cuddles
is shy and affectionate.
SANDY is a DSH. She is a grey dilute tortoiseshell, has been spayed,
and is 3 years old. She is good with children. Sandy is friendly and
affectionate.
SALLY is a DSH. She is a brown tabby with whtie, has been spayed, and
is an adult. She is good with children. Sally is friendly, active,
playful, and affectionate.
ALI is a Siamese mix. He is a seal point, has been neutered, and is 2
years old. He is good with children. Ali is affectionate, playful, and
friendly. He gets along with other cats.

THUMPER II is a a Dutch rabbit. She is black with white, and is an
adult. She is good with children.
GUINEA PIGS . We have 4 friendly Guinea Pigs in need of new homes--
three babies and three adults.
MR. CHEEKS is a domestic rabbit. She is lilac, has not been spayed,
and is an adult. She is good with children.

ADOPTION INFORMATION
LOCATION
The SPCA of Anne Arundel County, Maryland is a private, non-profit
organization. It is located at 1815 Bay Ridge Avenue Annapolis, MD
21403. The phone number is (410) 268-4388.
HOURS
The shelter is open to the public for on Monday, Tuesday, Friday and
Saturday from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. and on Wednesday and Thursday
from 2:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. The office opens at 9:00 a.m. Monday
through Saturday. The shelter is closed on Sunday.
ADOPTION CONTRACT
When adopting a pet from the SPCA, you must complete and sign an
Adoption Contract. Three of the most important requirements you must
agree to are: 1) to take your new pet to a veteranarian for a check-up
2) to have it spayed/neutered no later than the date specified in the
contract and 3) to return the adopted pet to the SPCA if you decide
not to keep it. The SPCA reserves the right to decline any adoption
request.
ADOPTION FEES
The shelter adopts to all counties in Maryland. We require a
spay/neuter deposit on all out-of-county (Anne Arundel) adoptions. We
are sorry, but adoptions are ONLY available to residents of Maryland.

DIRECTIONS TO THE SHELTER
From Route 50 take exit 22--Route 665 (Aris T. Allen Boulevard). Stay
on Route 665 (do NOT exit onto Riva Road) until it ends at Chinquapin
Round Road and Forest Drive. Bear right onto Forest Drive EAST.
Continue on Forest Drive to the intersection of Forest Drive and Bay
Ridge Avenue (Note: there is an Exxon gas station on the right and a
Crown gas station on the left). Turn left onto Bay Ridge Avenue.
Follow Bay Ridge Avenue for about a half a mile. The Shelter is on the
right and has a large sign visible from the road.
