Hello,

I've started work on my future Homepage, a picture gallery of different
breeds from around the world. If you'd like to send me a picture of your
dog(s) I'll put in onto my page, representing the breed along with a link to
your e-mail address or URL, of course.
I'm miles away from being finished, but why not get started anyway?
My address is amanda.d...@wanadoo.be .

Best Xmas wishes also to your dearling pals,

Amanda

Amanda,
Since there are hundreds - possibly thousands of similar pages how
will you make yours different enough to invite viewers? Also, since
you are going to provide links to the homepage of anyone who sends in
a photo, how will you handle someone who sends in an obvious really
poor quality representative of the breed, who has a homepage, and is
obviously a backyard breeder. Will you still allow them to basicly
make money from free advertising on your page? We all wish that others
who do such things could be stopped.
Hoping your page will be different....
Liz

I would also want to know how each breed photo would be chosen. For
example, I have some very nice photos of my sheltie. They look great
on my website showing off MY dog and my photography. BUT I know that
she is a poor example of the breed - conformation wise. She is small,
has prick ears, and her coat is the nice heavy coat of the well-bred
sheltie. And those are only the ones I can pick off without ever
having been to a dog show. I also think her leg structure isn't the
best. Our other sheltie stands much better, but I can't pick off what
is wrong.

Magazines like Dog Fancy and other pet magazines will only use photos
of champions in articles about the breed. Will this website have such
a limitation on it to keep the standard high?

Unlikely - no-one doing that would be asking people to send them a whole
bunch of huge binaries, and it would be lot easier for them just to
harvest the addresses straight out of the newsgroup.
