Yes this would be spam. It would be spam because it is an attempt to
peddle someones product to people who may not be interested and didn't
request the information in any way. Now if someone were to ask, "Hey,
does anyone know where I can get some greeting cards with wonderful dog
paintings on them?" it would not be spam.
On a related subject: Does anyone know where I can get some greeting
cards with wonderful dog paintings on them?
LOL. Sorry, I have the flu and I am highly medicated right now. It is
causeing me to be somewhat silly. I'd really like to see the cards,
actually, and my above spam rant was just drug induced.

Last weekend Dillin became the 5th Champion/Schutzhund 3 Doberman in the
history of the breed. In doing so, he also became the first ever
Ch/SchH3 who is sired by another Ch/SchH 3 dog, and even more
impressively, the first ever OWNER HANDLED to ALL his titles. In getting
his SchH 3 with a Prounounced rating in Protection, Dillin also scored a
perfect 100 on his track, with the judge stating it was the best
schutzhund track he had seen in 30 years. That makes Dillin:
AKC/UDC Ch BJF Crescendo V Aquarius, SchH 3, CDX, ROM, T-1, ZTP V1A,
CGC, VCX.
He is sired by AKC/UDC Ch Chalmar's The Big Red One, SchH 3, IPO 3, CD,

She just started doing paintings of cats also, doesn't have cards of
them yet.
I met Leigh about a year ago at a dog adoption event held by the folks I
got Tanner from, where she and her husband adopted a very sweet Peke who
was in very bad condition (a senior stray who'd only been at the rescue
a very short time - he was terribly underweight and could hardly walk).
A week later I bought one of her prints off ebay (the Chinese Crested,
same one that's on the card) and she brought it over to my house, along
with the Peke, who was doing a whole lot better - actually toddling
around my house, interested in everything). I haven't actually seen
her since then, but I put myself on her mailing list, and was thrilled
when she started the card line.

rec.arts.sf.written has a problem with this and a solution. The
problem is drive-by posters who see the "written" and think "oh, I've
written a book, this must be the place to tell people".
The solution is that they don't mind people who put info about their
books (including urls) in their sig, provided that they contribute to
the discussions.
The real problem you're going to have is that I can't see your posts on
Newsguy, which usually has a pretty reliable feed. I saw two replies,
but no originals.

Yup, Debbie my dearest, you are *not* showing up on Newsguy.
This makes me very sad. Am I missing posts from you on the
Other Newsgroup(s)?

Interesting. Posting this from Google in the hope you can see it.
I've heard of this problem with other people and Newsguy. Wonder if
it's because my "From" address doesn't match where I'm posting from?
(Well, if you can see this message, that wouldn't be it.) My ISP isn't
any kind of spam haven, so it wouldn't be blocked because of that.
Maybe Newsguy doesn't like Supernews, a competitor, which is who my
ISP contracts with for usenet service?
