On Tuesday, April 22, our 14 year old Yorkie died. I am wondering if
there are reputable Yorkie breeders in Monmouth County N.J. that someone
can recommend. While we can never replace Sparky, another dog may begin
to fill the void his death has left.

Our condolences. We know the grief.

I can't help you, but trust others can. I also immediately start a
search when my old dog dies. The one who died becomes a Predecessor
for the next one(s).

The void is never really filled, but it surely keeps you busy, and
the void turns into wonderful memories - and Predecessorship
bequeathed from the old dog to the new. What we learn with one
carries on to the next, forever, and those new bonds do form in
time, while the old ones are never broken.

I"m very sorry to hear of your loss. Yes, another dog does
help, we got two new dogs after our two 15 year old dogs died a
couple of years ago. They are all different, but they all adore
you just the same, and will bring much joy back into your life.
Wish you the best.

Our condolences also to you and your family. We breed Yorkies here in
metro Chicago suburbs. Our oldest male, "Sparky" (also!) sired several
litters of fine pups. The female, Christy, is a fine mom. We kept the last
female from our last litter, and recently had the male neutered. We are
planning on getting a male pup and using him to sire more dogs in the
future. They are wonderful little dogs!

Now Alan do you really believe that I am that stupid! We know you
put a midget next to the dog. The dog is big but the animal in my picture
is larger. Contrary to popular belief the wolf is very social and is very
skilled
at killing.

While I was in Alaska a number of years ago writing my thesis I studied
the Canis Lupus in much detail. The wolf will run but don't corner it!
The
wolfhounds that chased the wolf wore spike collars and had hunters with
them. The wolf nor man can get shot numerous times and live. That was
a very funny picture of a midget. The dog was very nicely built but I
would
like to see him next to an 8 foot fence.(By the way if you stop by and
steal
my tv maybe you can see the dog run 48 milers per hour--chasing you!)

Robert I do have many many doggys. Which one do you want to meet?
Do you want to meet my collie? Do you want to meet my golden? Do
you want to meet my rottweiler? Do you want to meet King(who was pictured
on this group recently)? Just whom do you want to meet? They love
McDonalds
and really prefer Tastee Freez cheeseburgers. They would be glad to come
play with you. If you bring Scooter I will have to bring Harry because he
is
nice as long as your dog is quiet and leaves him alone.(except playing
of course)

Chip,
Wolfhounds were used one on one against wolves. Russian Wolfhounds
(Borzoi's) were used in pairs, and would pin and hold the wolf until the
hunters came to shot it. Irish Wolfhounds were so good at running down
wolves that they exterminated all the wolves in Ireland by the 1700's. In
the US, in the late 1800's, a single Wolfhound was credited with killing
over 40 wolves alone.

A Wolf is good at many hunting traits but not great at anything. Dogs are
specialists( bloodhounds have great noses, Greyhounds are fast, Mastiffs
are very strong), a pack of wild dogs tend to have higher kill ratios then
do a similar size pack of wolves due to the traits that dogs have bred
into them.

Wolfhounds were designed to kill Elk(irish Elk, tallest game in the world,
now extinct) and Wolves. They are specialists at this game. Encounters
between Wolves and Wolfhounds turn out one of two ways:
1) Wolfhound chases and catches the Wolf on the run(by the neck), they
tumble and the wolfhound breaks the wolfs neck or
2) Wolfhound charges in the wolf turns to face him. The Wolfhound drops
his head like a ram and runs over the wolf, grabs his throat and kills
him.

either way the wolf ends up dead.

Dear Chipster,
McDonalds has burgers for 55cents these days. Cost of feeding
your dogs is going down. What kind of dog is King.-or Harry?
Would I have to be naked for the picnic. I would be very
uncomfortable letting my "foot long" sway in the breeze around all
those dogs. Hee,hee.

What a lot of bull Chip - it is a well know fact that the Irish Wolfhound
hunted the wolf one on one and (unlike the Russian Wolfhound [or Borzoi] or
other hunting dogs) does not wait for the hunter to make the kill. They
make the kill themselves one-on-one.

Hey Chip - if that is an 8 ft fence then the guy standing behind it would
have to be close to 7 ft. Now the guy (is it you) look like a fairly young
kid - maybe 5ft 6" or so. Are you sure thing just don't look bigger to you

NO. I have not seen this picture, I have my own. only 10 lbs shorter
than the one mentioned.
She is our Harliquin Great Dane who is 190 lbs and 35. inches at the

If you examine the picture closely, you can count the number of
"diamonds" of wire there are in the fence. I count about 20 point to
point from the top to the bottom. This you would find in a 5.5' Frost
fence.

Maybe we can get the FBI to blow up the shot and see if the jeans have a
size tag on them. Did you know that they probably have this picture taken
from the rear in one of their spy satellite libraries? It's only a matter
of time before they turn it up and show the 30"w 29"L tag on them.

I wonder if that is really Chip? I bet the Russian spy satellite "dog

Terri, you really need to get two dogs. You have so much hate in your
system that you need much love and tenderness. The puppys would probably
bite you indeed. As we all know if you have a dog you will get bit. So
please get at least one dog Terri so that you will not have this
incessant hatred in your lonely body.

The fence in the pitcure looks to be above government spec. It appears
to be 8 feet tall which is standard height for fence of that grade.

Most chainlink fencing is 2" mesh(each diamond is 2 inches on the edge
measured from one corner to the next.) a minority are 1.25 inch mesh,
and I don't think I've ever seen a third size.

My 2" mesh fence has diamonds about 3" wide and 3.5 inches tall. A
fence 20 diamonds tall fo 2" chain link would be around 70" or, about
6 feet. My own fence is 6 feet tall and 20.5 diamonds tall. If it's
1.25 mesh, it would be shorter than that.

My opinion means a lot mam. I have treated numerous people with your
problem and my treatmen always corrects their personality disorders.
I use the same basic treatment od dogs. A schedule works wonders for
delusional people like yourself. Please e-mail me and we will arrange
your treatment.
