DOG PORTRAITS. Oscar, a cross between an Austrailian Shepherd and Doberman
actually lived to 105 in dog years. Now his portrait hangs in my office. He
was born in this house and lived his whole life on this spread. It really
broke his heart that his favorite dog run was concreted over by the tract
homes that went up in our back yard. But his smile, his wink, his floppy ears
still call me from his painting on the wall. If you are attached to your dog,
