Cat's Butt

Here's a weird one: My cat was left alone overnight, and when we came
back, we found that she had licked a part of her butt hairless, and it
had become ulcerated. It eventually healed, but another time we were
gone overnight, we came back to find that she had done the same thing.
Any idea what's going on? Martha

Apparently the only time she does this is when she's left alone overnight,
and she's going to show you what happens when you leave. Cats can be great
at "getting even." They'll choose some of the darnedest things to do in
order to convey the message that they don't like what you're doing (or have
done).
