The Litter Robot, thusfar, does exactly what it says it does, and it
works well. The children can't get at the litter, the cat has a nice
dark area in which to do her business, and she's not afraid of it.
The device comes with suggestions on how to get your cat to figure out
what the thing is, to entice her to get into it, etc. We used the
suggestion on putting a favorite toy near it, as well as the suggestion
to (using latex gloves) move a few droppings from the old box to the
Litter Robot. Trouble is now using the Litter Robot, and has even
figured out that if she waits a few minutes after doing her business,
that she gets to watch the show. She loves to watch it work.
Another plus for those with toddlers.. you can lock the buttons out
similar to the way you can on a microwave or oven. It takes 10 seconds
of continuous pressure to cycle the machine manually with the lock
activated. This is no bad thing.
Overall, so far, I give the Litter Robot an A.
