Yes, but pain medication is something you have to resort to when the best
solution is unavailable, or too expensive. The best way to treat pain is t9o
cure the underlying casuse of the pain. To cure the disease that causews
your pain. Living on pain medication is a poor second choice, and should
always be recognized as such. At 77, I have a lot of pains that have
gradually crept up on me over the years. My feet hurt, my teeth hurt, my
right arm musclew have been destroyed by some diabetes medication that I
took for several years, and I have several other aches and pains that I can
do nothing about. I could live off of pain medications, but I choose to just
get used to these pains and live drug free whenever possible. I donlt even
let the dentist give me lidocaine injections before he drills my teeth. (a
very minor pain, to me) I had a dentist pull one once without any
medication! (That was a mistake.... I was so tired from that that I went
home and slept for several hours afterward) But the point is that I will
never be hooked on some feely-good drug, because I refuse to have anything
to do with anything like that. I know that not everyone can do this, but
everyone should try to do it, and avoid pain medication whenever they can.
