Hi all,

Just wanted to let ya'll know I was at Michaels' Arts and Crafts store
yesterday and they have some really cute wicker laundry baskets (oval) about
2 feet across and 1 foot tall that could double as cat beds. I saw these
several weeks ago for $4 each and bought two to try them out -- put old
sheets in them and stuck them under my coffee table and voila, at least 3 of
my 5 love them. I remember someone else had posted about a similar laundry
basket idea (CATherine was it you?) from another store earlier in the year.
Anyway, these wicker baskets are now on sale for $1.99 each through
Saturday, so for those of you in the U.S. who have access to Michaels, you
might check it out.

Christine

I'm going to have to try this. But my two think wicker is only good for one
thing so we will see how it goes.

Well, that's ok. Sleep and exercise all in one :)

I bought one of those! They're really cute, and what a buy at $1.99. I bought
it to "do up" several baby layette items in for a shower gift--thought it was
more useful and cheaper than a gift bag. I should have bought one for
myself....I got a couple of baskets at Hobby Lobby a while back for magazines
and can't keep the cats out of them.

Well, at least you've only got two bucks invested. If the same basket was lined
& labeled "cat bed" and at Petsmart, it would probably cost $29.99.

Thanks Christine. I use one to hold unread books in beside my bed, and
need another to hold magazines and read books. Of course, one could
come in handy for the owners, another to replace their toy box, and....

Pam S. who loves wicker, woven and pottery stuff

You don't spoil your cats one bit, do you Victor? When I croak off can
I come back as one of your kitties? I promise to have a strange
personality.

Oh, now I love those. That's a neat hidey-place any cat would love. My cats
would love them.

All this reminds me I really need to go by the fabric store and buy a yard
or two of fake fur or fake sheepskin.
