Subject: PET birds and indoor lighting???
There's been an interesting thread in sci.engr.lighting about lighting and
birds, and it was pointed out that a lot of the info out there is of
dubious quality and put out by sites that are selling merchandise based on
their conclusions ( questionable motives? ).

They suggested checking with Cornell Lab of Ornithology as a source of
info but apparently they only cover wild birds, not pet birds kept
indoors.

So does anyone know a definitive scientific source of info for how
lighting affects indoor pet birds, and what they need, from a scientific
source that's not involved in selling merchandise based on their info?

This is fascinating to me.

I'm doing a Google on: pet birds light spectrum science
and finding only sites that are selling stuff too.
