Hello to anyone reading...

Can anyone tell me how winter-hardy racing pigeons are? And what kind
of housing they need in a cold winter? (North of Toronto).

Thanks in advance -

Dana

They are very hardy just make sure they arent closed up too much. Provide a
lot of ventilation, theyre pretty warm in their down coats.

Most breeds and strains of pigeons are frostbite proof if they have a
good windproof place to roost, and a freeze proof water sources.

I have seen Carriers and Dragoons and old Homers with large ceres who
get frost bite on the ceres, but it heals well come Spring.
