It's snowing not too far north of us. Been in the 70s for days,
this morning 39, overcast, winds NW at 25+35.

We could see snowflakes any minute.

Running to the doc again for another last minute blood check
before surgery tomorrow. The pills the VA gave me for muscle
spasms are causing my kidneys to fail.

Now is a poor time to find that out.

I'm ready to sign any kind of waiver just so the surgery takes
place tomorrow.

I saw a report on the news yesterday about snow in Minnesota and thought
about you - you must be missing Sierra Vista about now.

Good luck on the surgery - hope all goes well and you come out feeling

Stopped taking the various pills and drank gallons of

Got fitted for the corset I'll be wearing the next few months and
then pigged out on Chinese food. As of now, surgery is scheduled
for 11.30 tomorrow. Fusion of L2, 3, 4, 5 and S1.

God knows how long I'll be stuck up here in the tundra in our MH.

I once saw a cartoon in "The Book of Leisure" by noted english
cartoonist, Thelwell, that shows a man sitting in bed with his wife -
casting out of the window and catching a fish. The wife is saying, "I
suppose to you that's perfection."

I always thought to myself that it would be the ideal way to spend my
own retirement.

Best of luck with the surgery.

Similar - but this particular medical mistake results in the
victim/patient drawing wrong conclusions - even when thinking linearly
- because the input to his brain comes from RDS.

IMO nothemark is not readily explainable. But it occur to me that
"Doctor Mallard" on NCIS talks to corpses like several regulars here
talk to N'Mark. The principal difference is that Doc's patients do not
have a concealed tape machine continuously regurgitating current

did a Google search - no recent obituary for a Ziegler in MN that
would fit. It would not surprise me if he is in a rehab facility
without internet access.

A rehab facility would be normal around here. Some have internet and
some do not. None have sufficent security that I would want my lap
top with me. If he is on the right painkillers he will not be too
concerned about much of anything.

Anybody know what the normal rehab cycle is for what he had done?

Interesting. Thanks. I hope I never need to get the experience.

One note of interest - the place I am scheduled for advertises their
patient and guest internet availability. L will have her Nexus with
her tomorrow. I will not mess with a notebook or borrow her tablet as
I will be to far into lala land to care. Maybe Sunday when I get home
I will start looking at what happened while I was gone.
