Newbie question - hookups

We are planning to get a used MH which we
will be using to travel between only 2
spots with long stays in each spot at a park.
What should we look for in the way of hookups
and that type of thing? Are some models better
for this than others?

Hi Glen,
Just a thought.... most people use a trailer if it's going to just go from
point A to point B then sit......
You might want to look at travel trailers and fifth wheels..
It's a very expensive proposition to be paying for a motorhome, inc insurance
for something that's sitting. Long term sitting also deteriorates motorhomes...
You also get more living space in a trailer....
Why do you want a motorhome to do this?
As for your question about hookups.... I think you mean at the place you plan
to sit??? If so, you want "full hookups" which will be water, electric and a
sewer. You might ask about cable tv too, most campgrounds have it.

Agree with Hunter's comments - just to expand the electricity item - several
different plugs and electrical service available. 15/20 amp, 30 amp and 50
amp.Not all parks offer all services. In a used motorhome, you will be either
30 or 50 amp. I have also run into a park that had marine electrical plugs
rather than the standard rv ones - needed a converter to go from one to another
- no big deal except a night after all the stores were closed. If you have two
airconditioners - one for living area and one for bedroom, you will need 50 amp
service at the campground to run both. That is probably the only serious issue
to worry about.
