Having been around goats it happens. We had to call the base vet for
one we used for grass trimming when I was at GITMO. A lot of the
world eats goat on a regular basis. I find it tastes like goats... In
short I am not a big fan but I know some folks are.

It is common in Mexico, in fact get invited to a real barbecue there
and you will most likely get goat... I like berria and it is normally
made with goat...

Seriously, however......having lived in the Mojave for a number of years, immersed in "border culture", I have come to the conclusion that Mex food ain't Mex food unless the meat used is goat. (doesn't apply to fish tacos)

Flautas are usually beef but sometimes chicken. (I have had pulled pork

Fajitas are usually steak but sometimes chicken.
Menudo is made with beef tripe.
And then there are chicken enchiladas.
And, around here, we have "cowboy" enchiladas that have ground beef. (barf)

Barbecue "cabrito deshebrada" in tacos is mighty tasty.

Years ago there was a local couple that must have been inbred. When
the barn burned down they moved the livestock into the house ... goats.
Then the house burned and her pet rat died in the fire so she was
going to shoot the Fire Chef... the loaded shotgun was in a closet but
we got there first.

areas to keep weed and brush trimmed back and under control.

Goats will eat grass but prefer anything else. They are browsers
rather than grazers. Consequently, they are great at weeding! But
they also like new growth, so they will sometimes eat the young tender
parts of plants and leave the older parts standing.
