It's snowing not too far north of us. Been in the 70s for days, this morning 39, overcast, winds NW at 25+35.
We could see snowflakes any minute.
Running to the doc again for another last minute blood check before surgery tomorrow. The pills the VA gave me for muscle spasms are causing my kidneys to fail.
Now is a poor time to find that out.
I'm ready to sign any kind of waiver just so the surgery takes place tomorrow.

Good luck - and hurry back. These liberals are easy enough to out-smart but it's always good to have additional support.

Hope it goes well for you. Pay attention to your rehab folks. They
really do know more than you do. ;-)

I saw a report on the news yesterday about snow in Minnesota and thought about you - you must be missing Sierra Vista about now.
Good luck on the surgery - hope all goes well and you come out feeling young again.

Good luck, old man. Don't forget to stop talking when they start cutting so that you don't distract them.

I lucked out. Only had 2 days to get my creatinine level down to good numbers or the surgery would have been canceled.
Stopped taking the various pills and drank gallons of water.....and it worked.

Got fitted for the corset I'll be wearing the next few months and then pigged out on Chinese food. As of now, surgery is scheduled for 11.30 tomorrow. Fusion of L2, 3, 4, 5 and S1.
God knows how long I'll be stuck up here in the tundra in our MH.

Thanks.
I'm missing the weather in Sierra Vista and also my cozy house.

They tell me I will by lying on my stomach and unconscious. They don't want the patient shaking when they start up the chain saw.

Wait...that's different - you want to be awake then to make sure they don't have the chain on backwards.

To err on the side of caution, you should get a magic marker and have your wife write on your back, "L2, 3, 4, 5 and S1 Only".

That could really screw things up depending upon where the surgeon is standing. They might fuse 27, 37, 47, 57 and 1S, instead...
