First he said we lost 25,000 troops in Vietnam instead of the
often-mentioned 58,000. Then he has Zarqawi arriving in Iraq AFTER the
invasion when even Vito knows Zarqawi arrived at least a year earlier after
being wounded in Afghanistan. He's also got some goofy idea that our
troops should move outside Iraq but continue to fight Zarqawi. How is that
supposed to work? Is this guy as dumb as he sounds?
All those roosters crowing about the Dems sinking Tom DeLay have suffered a
major setback when some indictments were dropped. What's left looks mighty
shaky.
Cindy Sheehan may have to sell her books in outhouses for use as TP because
the public sure ain't buying 'em.
Kerry is changing his stance so often he looks like a quarterback putting
on some moves. By the end of three sentences he's already changed his mind
about the first one.
Pelosi, Murtha, Reid, et al say they want the troops brought home
immediately and for clarification, they say they DON'T mean immediately but
really mean 6 months. Not a one has the brain to realize that if they have
to be home in 6 months, they'll need to start packing tomorrow unless they
intend to leave all their equipment behind and just take their duffel bags.
While they're packing they won't be available for any combat sweeps or
patrols but merely maintaining a defensive perimeter. We're talking
40-80,000 troops here. Some phony Dems are even acting as though Iraq is
the first time the Guard and Reserves have ever served outside the country.
As the 2006 elections get nearer, we can expect even more hysteria. I'm
wondering if the Dems can get a decent turnout with the far left nitwit
fringe in charge.....

I am one of those conservative Dem's. Voted Libertarian last time, as the
Dem's ran another doofus for POTUS. If the Dem's keep doing what they have
been doing, and expect different results, they are going to be a non-party
before they know it. They are probably going to run Hillary next time.
Will most likely be a disaster, as at least 70% of the country will see her
as the incompetent leader she would be. Only hope for her, is if the
Republican's come up with Cheney or someone farther to the right. Then the
Libertarian's may run a viable candidate and campaign.
Dean and Kerry carrying on about Iraq have the same effect upon Liberals
that you have upon Conservatives when you start carrying on insanely
about Wal Mart. The only difference is scale. Men raving like lunatics, all.

Iraq WAS a push over. The most well fought and successful campaign in our
lifetimes. In case you lost your glasses, we are no longer fighting Iraq,
we are fighting the leftover losers and all the Al Qaeda that Clinton
refused to deal with.

If there is such a thing as a "smart" Democrat, maybe the DNC should have
him going over Dean's speeches? Obviously his background in history is
pretty weak.

PS Don't apply for the job since you know less than he does.
That's a great strategy the Dems have for governing. How much dirt can we
dig up on the republicans?
We already know Clinton's strategy for ending the war in Iraq. Load up the
boats.

YOU ignore Wal-Mart's criminal record because it is convenient for you to
do so.
I.e. You are doing EXACTLY what the Dems did when they rallied around Clinton.
You can't argue this simple fact and neither can Will and his choir so,
instead you shoot at the messenger who keeps bringing up the negatives.

A really interesting race would be between Mark Warner of VA and
John McCain of AZ.
Mark Warner has one great hindrance. He is divorced. I don't think
the American public will accept a single president. If he can't
handle his personal affairs, how can he handle the country? (Not my
opinion, just an example.)
He needs to get married real soon if he want's to run for president.

What I like about the suggested choice is that the country
wouldn't go far wrong with either of them.
As opposed to the last two elections, where the country goes
straight to hell no matter which is chosen.
Moderation is the key. And despite what some will try to tell
you, moderation is an admirable political principle. Try it,
you'll like it.
Bring back Bubba.

John McCain, of the vile temper. One of the SF Bay Area residents spend
some time with McCain in the Hanoi Hilton. His comment a few years ago.
"was not the sharpest stick in the pile".
Well, he's a Republican. It comes with the territory. A certain
vacuousness goes down well with their base.
Did your anonymous source refuse early release from the Hilton
when offered it, because he didn't want to be treated as a
special case? McCain did. He's got guts.
At least he appears modest and well intentioned, and seems to
know how to listen. Occasionally he says something original. He
knows how to take a hit and keep moving. He's not an obvious
nutcase. He's not telling everyone he's God's Appointed on
Earth.
I know very little, really, about Warner, except after several
years as Governor both sides in VA seem to like him. I expect to
learn more.

Life's journey is not to arrive at the grave safely in a well-preserved body,
but rather to skid in sideways, totally worn out, shouting "...holy shit...what a ride!"
Wrong Warner.

Didn't everyone? There was a Shel Silverstein song called
Liz:
It's just because -- Liz got around to Nicky Hilton,
And Michael Todd and Wilding...that made three.
And she got around to Fisher,
And she got around to Burton,
So I'm certain that she'll get around to me.

Wrong Warner. Senator John Warner married Liz.

Voting demographics show that the bottom of the economic scale vote for
Democraps. If they aren't stupid why are they on the bottom?

He would have been booted from the Navy if he had agreed to special
treatment. That would have been aiding their propaganda campaign similar
to Kerry, the Democrap's most recent candidate.

He's a loose cannon who is not even close to mentally stable. Plus he has
that shadow as part of the Keating Five scandal. The kiss of death is that
he is a friend of Ted Kennedy and Kerry--both losers. He's a laughingstock
after collaborating with Feingold on a campaign finance law that
accomplished absolutely nothing.

If both sides like him, he's too wishy-washy and the rank and file will
ignore him. Ollie North supporters probably still hate Warner's guts.

It is interesting how you pretend to be a nice person sometimes.
If you're going to dish it out, don't be surprised if it comes
right back to you.
I doubt if any of the guests at the hotel would ask for special treatment.
Would have helped the propaganda campaign of the VC. And look at the
Feingold-McCain campaign reform act. One of the worst laws we have on the
books regarding campaign reform. It almost assures an incumbents
re-election. Oprah would probably make a good President, as well as
Feinstein, even though I do not always agree with her. Our other Senator,
Ms. Boxer, is just plain stupid! Where is a Jack Welsh of GE when we need a
great administrator?

Oops.... I know she married a Warner from VA... obviously not that
Warner.
Is the one she married his dad?
I'm safe. She has me filtered for calling Lindakay a brain-damaged moron.
Seems to me that in this instance you were the dishore, he the dishee.
Nope. Unrelated although the latter likes to be confused with the former (except
in the marriage dept)
Warner the Younger is a Dem, Warner the Older has been politically neutered.
Used to be a Repub.
Hoo Boy!! Isn't Carl A. in FL a HOOT!! Imagine a guy who takes Cialis

OK, dipshit, why would someone who takes Cialis be a moron? How about
folks who take other medications? Do you have special names for them
too, depending on what BP medication, or other meds they take? Linda
Kay, you're a jerk, regardless of what meds *you* take.
Tom
Were you born a total ass or do you take pills for it? To disparage anyone
for any medical condition is the lowest of the low.
You must be an embarrassment to your gender. I know you are to the human
race.

Dave,
I have brainless Linda filtered, so it's only your quoting her that makes me
aware of her continued existence.
FWIW, I do not have a medical condition other than controlled hypertension and
mild diabetes 2.
However, if every female would be like Linda, no amount of Cialis or Viagra
could save the human race from extinction.
I feel very sorry for her.
You haven't a clue what I am or am not. Hence, I respond in kind to
anyone who aims at someone else for nothing - as Carl A. in FL does
constantly. If you believe otherwise, you're also gullible as the day
is long.
Lindakay
I took *nasty lessons* from Carl A. in FL and learned well, by your
observation of my writing now. I'm not anything you would possibly
recognize with your flagrant disregard of anything remotely human in a
written description. You can thank Carl A. in FL and a few others here
for my atmospheric impressionism in writing. Bless your teeny little
heart for your observation. Be sure to write a nice thanks to Carl A.
in FL for all the *embarrassment* you think I cause anyone....ROFLOL

Sure you do Carl A. in FL - You are just soaking up the sympathy aren't

Not only do I have a clue, I know for a fact that you're a jerk.
Disparaging someone for any medical condition is contemptible.
You will fit nicely in my filters from now on.
Tom
Of course it is a medical condition. Just as your guaranteed incontinence
in old age is a medical condition if you live long enough. Stress
incontinence in females is a medical condition. It's just the way the
plumbing is built.
OTOH, using your wacky viewpoint, old women pee themselves because of their
inferiority complexes.

Sugarbear? My, my, the sweetness that's been showing up on this NG !!
Max
If that's what she called me, then I do need to be rescued.
Well, you didn't.
Joe
But 95% of incontinence is in women. It happens to be that way because of
the construction of women and the fact they also give childbirth.
You should really speak only to those things you know about. A
tremendously high percentage of men take blood pressure med's, among
other things. (Many are probably married to people like you, hence the
blood pressure problem!) Many of those med's prevent erections. Cialis
et al. help to offset that condition.
It sure as shit is a medical condition, and you obviously are
ignorant. And did I mention arrogant?
Tom

I believe you owe women of the world an apology, since there aren't many
accusations you could make which would be more insulting than to accuse
"many" of them of being like Lindakay.
I believe you have also erred by indicating that you believe "Cialis et
al." would help them attain an erection when such a woman is the target
of their.......er.........ah............oh, man. I can't come up with a
term disgusting enough to fit _this_ scene. "Affection" sure doesn't cut it.
Snakes and rock piles seem a more attractive alternative.
Lon
I hereby apologize to the women of the world for comparing them to
Lindakay.
It never occurred to me to put "erection" and "Lindakay" in the same
sentence. Obviously if you have one, you can't possibly have the
other!
Tom
