ID is still required when you get to the show - and all it has to do is
match their credentials - which are filled out based on your
application. The email comes without a specific ID on it - anyone who
fills it out gets the pass. CES is supposed to be an industry show, so
you might have to invent some sort of industry ties, but in my past they
never checked them out. You simply use the access code that is in the
email, fill out the application, claim that you are a buyer where you
work, and get the pass mailed to you. At least that is how it has
always worked for me. If you are going to be in Vegas next January,
send me your email, and I'll forward the invite. My email, as shown at
the top of this message, is valid. Oh yeah, once they have you as a
registered attendee, you will get the email invitations every year
seemingly forever.
