I talked to Camping World in Ft. Myers, FL yesterday, and the new dishes
are "supposed" to be delivered the middle of this month. I asked if we
could photograph the removal of my In-Motion dish, and the installation of
the new dish., and put the results up on my web site for anyone who might be
interested in the operation. John Wilson, their man in charge of that
dept., was enthusiastic about the idea, now I have to prepare an email to
him, to give *his* boss, and was wondering if I could "drop" your name as an
interested party? LOL
John also told me that CW has Pre-sold 26 units, none have been delivered
at this time, and *my* name is first on the list (at Ft. Myers,) and we are
waiting for an installation date. Not holding my breath! :-)

"purchased a DISH1000 Winegard Trav'ler from Bakersfield, CA store
last week" and installed it themselves. Since it is fundamentally the
same dish I wonder why the DTV version is still delayed?
Motosat is shipping theirs.

From what John Wilson said, all the KA-KU band (is that correct?)
satellite dishes *Failed* some time of use test, all were recalled and
larger (and stronger?) motors were installed, and also the bracing for the
LNB arm was to weak to be steady in high winds, with the larger, oval dish
for the all HD channels reception. They are finishing up the upgrades, and
are supposed to ship by the 15th or 16th!
It is my belief that the larger dish was too much for the oval 3 LNB
drive gear and motor ... they had to substantially upgrade both strength and
size. More in line with what MotoSat is shipping. They, MotoSat, had the
advantage, in that, the MotoSat dish for Internet is basically what the 5
LNB dish needed to function. Again, this is my observation and opinion from
what I was told by CW and WineGard. BTW, WineGard is very close-mouthed
about any problems, as, I believe, they tried to "go cheap" on the base,
arm, and motor(s).
Anyway, I'll send the request for access to their work area, and
photograph (well, the Bride will,) the whole project, and try to get some
statements from CW about installation practices, and post it on my site.
CW has already processed a number of the 3 LNB dishes, and so far, all seems
to be going smooth. But, you can bet I won't be leaving their parking lot
until that "thingy" sees ALL the birds, and is in communication with them.
