best aluminum boat value??

i am cost conscious and so far have found the best deals on
alumacraft, starcraft, and mirrocraft
is there a significant difference in quality between these boats. In
particular: alumacraft fisherman 145, starcraft camp 16,(i know its 16
ft) mirrocraft 1460 tiller, tracker guide 14, or others of this type?
should i seek out lund, lowe, crestliner, sylvan, tracker? The Lund
i looked at impressed me but seems to be out of my price range.
The hull matters more to me than the accesories, decking, etc. I am
interested in final stability in rough water as well as other in water
characteristica as well as quality of materials, workmanship,
durability and of course price/value
i live in southern new england, if there is a discount dealer in the
northeast i should know about please let me know.

it is my opinion, that 90 per cent of the fly in fish camps in Canada
use Lund boats, there must be a reason ! My observation on Lake of the
Woods Canada , the most popular hulls are Lunds,alumacraft,crestliner
and sylvan.....i've owned crestliner and two lunds, in rough water id
much rather ride the lund .
My advise,pick the boat you like the best,cuz you"ll be stuck with it.
check prices with all the dealers you can find, a short trip can save
you some bucks....case in point, im in arizona, purchased my lund in MN
3 thousand $ less than the same boat from phoenix and that included a
four stroke kicker.. good luck KW

Before you buy any boat take it out on the water and try it out. I chose
a Lund but both Yar-Craft and Warrior had good rides. My choice was based
upon gross weight. I did not like the ride of Alumacraft or Crestliner.

buy a copy and compare prices.
I once negotiated a price on a new boat by showing the dealer an ad from
another dealer 300 miles away. He matched the other dealer's sale price and I
saved a few hundred bucks.
