Team Tidal Fish Takes First Place in Virginia 21st Annual Anglers Club Challenge Fishing Tournament

The Virginia Angler's Club Challenge Tournament has been the premier
inshore fishing tournament in the Lower Chesapeake for over twenty
years. The tournament was first put on by CCA VA and I used to go down
and fish it with fellow Tidal Fish members. It was a great event where
the best saltwater anglers from Virginia got together and competed on
their club teams to find out which club really was the best in the
state. While a very competitive fishing tournament because of the
bragging rights at stake, everyone always gathered afterward for a
barbecue and shrimp boil where some good fun and camaraderie. With
some changes with in CCA VA the tournament was going to be dropped It
was too much of a good fun fishing tournament to let die and Capt.
Rick from Catchin For Kids and his crew took it over and keep it
going. The bragging rights go to the fishing club that wins, the money
raised goes to Catchin for Kids, a great cause.
On August 20, 2001 the 21st Virginia Angler's Club Challenge
