What with the number of small fly shops going out of business on a
nearly daily basis, I'd say it's a bad idea.

Heaven forbid that you share my name!!

You seem like a pretty dumb bastard for a parrot
You seem to be about as dumbed down as a fat pirate on this very list.
Perhaps you are even his parrot ???

If I were you I would stay out of the business world
It appears that you do not have the smarts

You would have to learn to sopeak and write intelligently
and fior a parrot - you could not pull it off - even for a grateful parrot

Go back to your birdcage!

Mark,

My Middle America auto business translator mod. B4-07/A switched to
Jersey mode produced this:
:

>> I just got a email from wapsi.

I just received an email from Wapsi.

>>Looking to start buisness and checking prices

I anticipate starting a business and I am checking the prices of
products from suppliers.

>> wapsi won't tell me nothing unless i have buisness.

Wapsi will not give me a product price list unless I am already in
business.

>>How am i going
>> to price shop.

How am I to shop around for wholesale product prices so I can start my
business without actually being in business?
>>bad wapsi no sale!
I believe this is not a good policy by Wapsi and I will not do
business with them!

>> --
>> gratfulparrot
Gratefulparrot

Then in North Carolina mode produced this:

What?

Heh, heh.
It is unfortunate gratfulparrot chose not to use standard
English/spelling in a group where most members do. As his later post
demonstrates he can communicate clearly but having not done so
originally he recieved no responses to his request for information.
(other than silly, smartassed replies like my own)

I think the wholesale supplier topic was covered on ROFF some years
ago but I can't recall under what post title......there was some
discussion about the necessity of applying for product pricing under a
company letterhead else a reply could not be expected.
That tidbit completely exhausts my knowledge of the subject.

gratefulparrot,
Generally, suppliers are cautious and will not give you price lists
unless you have a business/storefront.They won't supply you, and it can
be difficult to get started. Your first step is to set up your
business. Get a DBA, locally. It should not cost much, then work from
there. It's a tough business. As already said, many shops are going out
of business. It is difficult to compete with the larger stores and
those that do business online. Good luck.

Your in-the-stream watercolors are very nice. Painting water in bright
lite is not the easiest thing in the world. great job. Once again
illustrating the limitations of the camera . . . vs the brush.

Our friend is spelled as above. The guy from the NJ Fly boards splits it up
into two words.
