When I first participated in ROFF more actively i was blasted by Tim J for
top posting
I quickly learned.
How come this same Tim J doesn't comment on the fool who refuses to post
his politcal crap as off topic
- Much less even on this list

I wonder why?

I have no prioblems w you though some others may
I even like and respect you

You participate in these threads

When I comment on politics it gets me riled and pissed - Why not!

if you are not pissed you must be brain dead like a would be pirate that
used to post on this list
Some people on this list have classified my political views as drooling
Some even try to discredit them by discrediting me - the same stupid
piorate

MCain is a nothing and a has been for years now
My border collie is smarter
But that is not for this list

Can you help to keep this rdean critter OT?
I did not join ROFF for politics
I fish to avoid this stuff -Bush Cheney Hillary Obama McCain and American
politics does disgust me to no end

I does not belong on ROFF
The realities are, however, that with what ios happening to our planet - it
is unavaoidable not to discuss politics

But at least keep it OT

Fred you should really read the roff FAQ:

http://www.cs.nmsu.edu/~jcook/ROFF/

There really is nothing that would be considered off-topic on roff.
The theory is if you're on a fishing trip and you gather around
the fire at night with a friend or three and a beer or two you're
gonna talk about a lot of things. Anything you'd talk about around
that fire is fair game for roff. We like it that way. Once you notice
a particular thread has turned to something you don't want to read,
don't read it anymore. It really is that simple. The onus is on you
to read what you want and leave the rest, the onus is not on the rest
of us to discuss only what makes you comfortable.

As for rdean, he is one of the most contentious, argumentative and
profane arseholes I've ever met. And there's few folks on earth with
whom I'd rather share a campfire and a beer.

The difference is that in ROFF no one can punch you in the nose if you
cross the bounds of decent behavior. Wolfgang and Fortenberry would long
since have had the shit kicked out of them if they acted the way they do
in ROFF in the bars I frequent.

I would not puit it past the administration to stage a terror aatack or a

I would either leave the fire real fast ot throw him in it!
Probably the latter
I would certainly throw up on him

I fish cause I do not wanna deal w fools like this
There are loads of tocic humans
some of them even here

I would like to escape as many of them as possible
Is there ever an on topic post by this un named guy

Alsio please be aware that this is not a campfire it is a form of
communication - a forum
read by many
What does Bwahaha mean?
What does Wolfgang say??
Do pirates on this list discuss loudly and clearly how to stop this
insanity

I thought many on this list would empathise w the quickening destructuion of
our planet in their name and money
Some stick their heads up their ass

Posting OT really is only a minor pallative
I cannot help but read BWAHAHAHAHA
Take your trash and your mind elswewhere rdean

There's always a but...

If anyone or anything around ROFF as of late deserved a
"BWAHAHAHAHAHA!!!" AND a <SNICKER>, it's Fred and his shtick...

And if you can't or don't (or most likely, won't try to) understand why,
you ought to be at one of those several other forums with which you feel
you are so compatible.

This I can promise you: as long as there is a USENET, neither you or
anyone else will ever be able to "control" NGs like ROFF - accept it as
it is (and make peace with it) or uninstall your newsclient and start
your own moderated forum - those are the only viable, practical choices.

As for me, I put you into the USENET Kook category some time back and
you've repeatedly demonstrated to me that is the category in which you
belong. And bluntly, I don't really care enough about you to worry
about whether that was/is a mistake or not. Eventually, you'll become
boring and I'll just start ignoring most everything with your handle on
it.

Don't give a shit if this helps or not,

Cheney for President...?

I don't blame you for questioning my sexual proclivities with my initial
statement
I am happily married to my wife Joanne for over almost 25 yrs and I do not
fuck around with fish or other critters
However - I have been trying to get my fish to breed in my lake for 10 yrs
and have been unsuccessful for a myriad of reasons
It is a long story

I have 3 electric pumps in a stream
Last year I upgraded on from 3 to 7 HP But I missed spawning season by a
week
We bought 300 breeders last fall and this year we started the pumps sort of
causing ice out.

Well every day for the last week we have 30-40 or more fish laying their
eggs and milt in our artificial stream - lined w 3/4" rock and 1/4" round
above that for the redds
We also have 2-3 guys from fish and wildlife assisting us and we milked
some fish yesterday - eggs and milt to incubate elsewhere in a friends
hatchery. We got over 1,000 eggs
We will do it again in a week

So between our stream and my friends hatchery
I could have several thousand fry in 4-6 weeks
Post Creek and Donaldson Rainbow and some Kamloops

10 yrss and now success
We are so excited!

Among active (or semi-active) participants at roff, Tim Walker
is the only one I know for sure, who has been hanging around longer
than me. I think I made my first usenet post in 1993 to

a few others like that too. But not many, I suspect.

Periodically I get sucked into OT political shit storms and
always end up regretting it. I think it's best to use guys like
the Tom's (Nakashima and Littleton) as a model, and just stay
out of it. So even if rdean or the calcified neuron pirate :-)
say something nasty about my guy. I won't take the bait.
I'm a reformed....I think. Of course I've been trying to make
that work with tobacco and bait fishing for 45 years now, with mixed
success.

Jon Cook has been around since the epoch, likewise daytripper.
Google has posts of mine back to 1990 but they didn't get the
complete archive from DejaNews. I'm sure there are older posts
of mine that didn't get archived. Oh and 'tripper's friend Dave
Bottom was an original too, although I haven't seen a post from
him in awhile.

What time, relatively speaking, Thursday evening?

and it's also missing RPB.....where the R stands for rancid.

So now we have specialized internet protocol critics , top posting critics,

One of the great values of Usenet is that it provides opportunities for
helping those who think that punching people in the nose for identifying
people who are likely to punch people in the nose for things they say to
expose themselves. Usenet is also valuable for identifying those who think
that punching people in the nose for things they say on Usenet is a good
idea......whether or not they choose to participate themselves. Another
legitimate use for Usenet is in identifying those who think it's a good idea
to punch people in the nose for what they say on Usenet, threaten to do so,
and then scurry away when presented with the opportunity. What Usenet is
NOT good for is bolstering self-esteem by repeated demonstrations of a gross
inability to behave like an adult and find ways to interact in a civilized
fashion with other adults.

As for the establishments in which you rent friends......who cares?

It's a shame. They could have stayed if someone had informed them that all
they needed to do was to jab large flaming embers in their eyes.

Al is dangerous, ubiquitous and insidious. So clever and elusive is he
that most people aren't even aware of his existence. My hat is off to
anyone who takes potshots at him.

> I could see people wanting to beat him up.

Sure, a certain class of people......as is amply demonstrated here with
great regularity. Nevertheless, I remain firmly convinced that taking
potshots at him will eventually result in the desired elevation of
character.

> I could and would beat his ass if I met him

Meeting him is not likely. No one has yet come forward and admitted to
having done so. This is precisely why I keep reminding you of his presence.
In any event, as he is a more or less complete enigma, I suggest that who
might do what to whom upon a chance encounter is open to some doubt.

> Killfiling the amnnoying twit is easier
