The bass was fairly dark and had a pronounced mid-stripe. I got out my
Texas Fish and Wildlife regulation manual and the internal mouth looked
like the white bass picture (one central tooth patch).
Other white bass I have caught in lakes have been lighter. I'm guessing
that water color makes a big difference in fish color. Please set me
straight if the bass I caught was not a white bass. I don't want to be
breaking any laws around here.
