Big Bass......

was foul hooked Monday morning in SO. CA, pictures were taken, fish was
weighed in a little over 25# and was released. No record, as not
certified and not hooked in mouth. Saw a picture and it was a beauty. I
bet she will be a record later this week when all the ducks are in a
row, and by the same person..

There's a story going around out west that a large bass was caught at
Lake Dixon monday by Mac Weakly....foul hooked in the back. Supposedly
weighed on a hand scale at 25# then released. Rumor has it that another
fisherman was paid to give up the spot where the bass was caught. Jed
Dickerson was with Weakly, and said it was the same fish he caught 3
years ago at 21#, and that Mike Long caught 5 years ago at 20#.

"The story about the fish was featured in the book Sowbelly, and how
John Jr was the first to find the fish, but had to work the next day, so
he told Mike about it...Mike caught it the next day. It became the most
famous, and controversial big bass ever caught in recent history! I
guess she is still living up to her reputation!"

I would hate to be that fish....she doesn't stand a chance! <grin>
