allowed. However, there are a few bad seeds who are ruining it for
all. The city council is working on banning nudity close to school
grounds, because one fellow were seen jogging nude around the
elementary school, and then at Junior High school. Now furthermore,
the city council now taking a good hard look at public nudity and may
ban nudity altogether. To me, it looked inappropriate to jog nude
around elemenary kids and junior high school kids. What was he
thinking?

well they are forced to ban near a school now....if they dont a
thousand pervs will show up over time and some of the girls will
befriend some of these pervs....thats the way it works...jz

Actually, I thought earlier that Ashland Oregon had taken final action
on this, but I was wrong.
I don't know what is taking them so long. Ban it already. Heck if
Eugene can do it certainly they can.
This is why public nudity should be illegal. Not only does it offend a
significant amount of the population, whenever it's legal it attracts
pervs.
Social nudity works best in a private setting. There's only a few
cases where it works well outside of that. I am thinking about the Hot
Springs. But those are isolated and it's a struggle to get at them.
Oregon also has three officially sanctioned Nude Beaches (two near
Portland, one on the fringes of Eugene). I wish that designated
places would work, but too often these venues seem to attract pervs
and gawkers. I wish that would not be the case because I wish that
public nudity would be possible in designed and in traditionally nude
places without the perv factor, but that's not the case.
But in the general public nudity should be banned. If maintained by
volunteers then perhaps some public designed places, but private
organization like Oregon's three nudist resorts, and several non-
landed clubs work the best.
It just makes sense, and it should to even nudists, that public nudity
should be banned. Keep it private among like minded people.

private beaches are ok....but public owned beaches are not suitable
for nude use....and should be banned.....hippie hollow should be open
to all the clothed folks only.....humans go to clothed beaches for non
sexual reasons ....humans go to nude beaches for sexual reasons....jz

ASHLAND, Ore. (AP) - The Ashland nudity issue will linger into the new
year.
At its meeting Tuesday night, the City Council couldn't agree whether
to expand an existing ban that bars the display of genitals downtown
and in parks.
Some council members want the ban expanded to include areas around
schools; others want to ban nudity in all public places. Councilors
voted to continue the debate Jan. 5.
The issue arose last year when a woman dubbed "the naked lady" started
bicycling around town wearing only a G-string. More complaints came in
June, when a retired computer programmer visiting the city took nude
strolls near an elementary school. A vacationer from Minnesota exposed
himself near schools in October.

I still don't get the problem.
They have already banned it in the parks which is the only place
someone who is truly interested in nudity (who isn't a perv) would
want to be nude.
Well I guess they might also want to be nude in their front yard, but
then they could have upset neighbors.
Other than that why would anyone (who isn't a perv) want to be nude in
public places. I am looking at it from the same position as whether
one would want to go around a place only wearing a swimming suit.
Well perhaps in some parade but they can write this into the law.
Just make public nudity illegal. I can't see why most nudists even
would disagree with that. I don't see why even nudists would want to
get nude in the places that it would become illegal in.

Anna...i have traveled in all the states and know something about all
the areas except two....the state of vermont and west of interstate 5
in oregon....and since i was a nudist i should have spent more
time...oh wait i did go to a nudist camp on july 4 about 40 miles west
of portland....and i think it was blue berry festival time and the
road up to the camp was very steep and i slid all the way down with
all braks locked...when leaving....never will forget that one...but
they people seemed normal.....but hey in the last few years these
areas have been most frustrating....every square inch of usa soil is
well equipped to handle any and all nudity without any
arguments....but these two area have a mixture of i think
homosexuality saturated and they are everywhere...i am guessing but it
is damned strange how that all other areas of the country bars nudity
state wide or the county but they seem to want a street by street...2
or 3 hundred feet....what is this dumb crap....does this western
oregon region have lots of mental hospitals or do they have facilities
that nurse mental patients....if you ever have a clue to this strange
behavior i want to be the first one to know....i mean rec nude is knee
deep and chock full of nutty dysfunctional nudist but hey i think
even they could have agreed on how to handle this sexual exposure to
kids by now......of course maybe the whole country is nothing but
criminal minded losers...govt included.....except dick cheney of

He was off school property but in view of any student who would be
looking outside the classroom window.
And he somehow got off knowing that.
