Midnight Tree Bandit
I'm so stoked. Everything I've heard about his performances this tour are
along the lines of "he fucking rocked". As I understand it, it will be just
BT and 5 or 6 keyboards. No loops. No decks. No computers. Just keybaords.
It's gonna rock. I'm stoked especially because even though he doesn't do that
style any more, this is the man who got me into trance. Tori led me to him (o
please please let there be Blue Skies), and he led me to progressive house,
trance, Sasha, and eventually Oakenfold. And they, in turn, have reawakened
by desire to he a dance DJ.
Yep. Ol' Brian Transeau has a lot to answer for.

Oh wow. I must say that I envy you. Tori led me to his music as well, and
I've been drooling over it for quite some time now. I'd really love to see
him and Oakey live, and I have a friend who just went to a major Oakey rave
a few months back and was literally brought to tears. That's what music can
do to ya.. and I'm sure seeing BT live has GOT to be an awesome experience.

I can't get enough of "Dreaming" because it's an amazing soundscape! I have
to say I hate all his remixes of Talula, (probably because I hate Talula)
but he did a remix of Sarah McLachlan's "I Love You" and it was also great.
I think that's one of the next albums I buy :)

Fiddly bits about BT's latest releases I bet you didn't know you were
wondering:
The Dreaming remixes are out now in the US. They are worth it.
Kirsty Hawkshaw is the vocalist on "Dreaming". She is (or was?) the lead
singer of Opus III (do they still exist?), and according to notes in the UK
version of Movement in Still Life, the song was the "result of a mad answering
machine message froim Kirsty".
The US version and the UK/Europe/asia version of Movement in Still Life differ
by four songs... BT replaced four of the UK tracks with four different ones.
It was his choice, not Nettwerk's, according to him. I also think the US
version has slightly different mixes of the tracks that are common between the
two. And they are differently arranged and not mixed together. The UK
version has cohesion and everything is blended.
If you can't afford to get both variations of the disc, I recommend the
limited Asian version. The first disc is the same as the UK version, and the
second disk contains several of the tracks "extended and un-mixed. It also
has one of the few versions of "Fibonacci Sequence" that are not on Sasha's
GU13 mix. Anyway, the UK version flows better than the US version, and I
prefer it.

The next US single to be released is "Never Gonna Come Back Down" It's
already getting airplay in some markets.
