Harmony from melody

[Jon Slaughter]

I'm trying to figure out the harmonic progression used in Bach's Passagio in
Lute Suite I bwv 996

It looks to be | V7 i| iv V7| - i|

But all the altered tones is throwing me off and when I play that harmony
under the melody it doesn't fit in some places(usually on the 2nd beat of
the chord).

Any ideas? Best I can tell he is outlining chords as all the leaps seem to
be from using the harmony I gave except when they look like appoggiatura's.
