I chipped a woman's table
|
| |
Ah, working for the late great Mr. Stair in the early eighties and
such. He's gone, Mr. Percival's gone, the great Casper Ingrassia's
gone. The only one left is Mr. Murdock. He's huge. He puts the
gasoline into every car in the world. He puts the stake onto every
dinner table in America, and he awlso owns Dole Foods. Needless to say... more »

As bogus as it is
|
| |
I think I can't, or won't have the impact upon worldwide media I
thought I would. When I first started out I felt I can knock out awl
world media in one fell swoop.
You know what I think? I'm mot a dog too old to learn new tricks. I

Zappa's instrumental peak (article),
|
| |
Greetings,
In the latest issue of Perfect Sound Forever <[link]>, you'll find (among other things):
FRANK ZAPPA
An instrumental highpoint by Kurt Wildermuth
"I’ve now spent three decades, on and off, trying to understand how a musician as smart as Zappa--a genius, according to his father and countless fans--could create a piece as emotionally and intellectually bare as “Watermelon in Easter Hay” and then not do justice to it. This article is about how I came to terms with Zappa’s handling or mishandling of this masterpiece."... more »

The Wereo crush the Revolt
|
| |
There's a pattern going on here with "my competitor" Allen Pamplin's
videos and buying up trinkets of California Jam items. There's no
doubt in my mind this man plans on opening a California Jam museum.
Well when the Wereo steps in I wouldn't be surprised if it wipes out
the entire history of music in process.... more »

This man was absolutely incredible
|
| |
I saw a man on the subway not too long ago playing with a couple of
regular size Rubik's cubes. I didn't think much of it, as what's so
unusual about that?
Then he mxied one up and so ok. The stunning thing was this man is
able to put it back together again in like less than 30 seconds. With
one hand!... more »

Life In the [Censored for Family Radio] Lane
|
| |
I'm always amused when local stations play the Eagles' "Life In the Fast
Lane" and get to "We been up and down this highway, haven't seen a
goddamned thing." They'll shorten or eliminate "god."
Tonight I was listening to one station that went from "We been up and down
this highway" straight to "He said, 'Call the doctor...I think I'm gonna... more »
