Does anyone remember the name of the pop song and the artist who had a
single pop song which had something to do with love?

My normal response to that would be "do you know a guy named Mike?", but

Kyu Sakamoto had "Sukiyaki" [Ue o muite aruku, i.e. "I Look Up When I
Walk"] in 1963, is this what you mean?

Pink Lady had "Kiss in the Dark" [in English] in 1979, a disco song.

Beyond that, I dunno.
