My favorite AG tune from the '70s wasn't on an LP (except for the '88
"Garfunkel" best-of collection): His 1974 take on Tim Moore's "Second
Avenue".
Whatever happened to Tim Moore, anyway? He did four LPs for Asylum
between '74 and '79, then disappeared.

That's true of many many genuine masterpieces, musical and otherwise. I work
in book publishing. The most screwed-up project I ever worked on is now so
famous they've issued a stamp in its honor. My brother-in-law has similar
stories from the movie biz.

What about "Breakaway"? That one is my fave of his! I still say his is
the best recording of "I Only Have Eyes For You" around.
