Definitely a weird list of songs!, and certainly not the same old list
of stuff. "Fluffy" by Gloria Balsalm is about as bizaare as a song
gets! You have a song by The Strawberry Street Singers - I have a 45
by them that got played a few times on my local station back around
'67 - I'll post it today or tomorrow..

Maybe you can post a few songs from the cds from time to time.

What the heck does the "Girl On Death Row" sound like?
Does that have to do with the 15 yr old girl and her boyfriend
who went on a mass shooting rampage in the late 50s?

He said the songs were homemade cds, with the songs
coming from vinyl..

Quite a few of those were SO strange, they were actually GOOD....novelties
even! Ya gotta hear those Bill Shatner ones, for sure.

Further, I wonder how Dean learnt about the existence of these
'different/unique' recordings.

I'd like to congratulate Dean for choosing and gathering the tracks
for these volumes. This set even has commercial potential, yes?

From volume 1 I have:

2. HAL ALOMA: Hawaiian War Chant (1953)
11. BARBARA & THE BOYS: Hootie Sapperticker (circa 1959)
15. LES BAXTER with SAMUEL J. HOFFMAN: Lunar Rhapsody (1947)
18. BERT THE TURTLE: Duck and Cover (early 1950s)
which should be:
Dick 'Two Ton' Baker - Bert The Turtle (The Duck And Cover Song) -
1953

Each of these records are entertaining - some very.

On the strength of these records, I'd love to hear all the tracks on
these volumes.
(no doubt some of Dean's friends in this newsgroup have privately
emailed him asking for copies :-)

Most of that stuff is from original 45s and LPs that I found at used
record shops, tag sales and thrift stores over many years of
collecting - and musical curiosity way beyond the narrow confines of
Top 40 radio. A good 75% of that material has never been reissued on
CD - especially not on the $5.00 Stop & Shop collections in which Uni
the Clueless Wonder specializes.

An absorbing slow-paced record (from 1960).

Excellent strings, excellent trembling strings.

Excellent opening and closing deep guitar.
