This was a cool song from 1979 - I bought the 45 when it came because
I was buying the new releases as they hit the stores every week. I
don't know if this song got much radioplay, don't recall hearing it
much. I think it's on cd, but I've noticed the versions I've found on
the internet seem slower in speed than the 45.

I remember the song though it took looking it up at youtube to realise
that I did remember it. Good song. The version I listened to at youtube
seems to be at the correct speed based on what I recall of the song (I
probably haven't heard it since 1979, so it is good going for me to even
recall it at all considering I probably only heard it a handful of
times). Perhaps the US single version was speeded up a bit? Sometimes
labels did that to singles. The UK label for Chic did that with Good
Times, which was notably faster than the US single version.

It seems Herman died in 2001 after committing suicide by jumping from
the roof of the Amsterdam Hilton Hotel. I don't recall hearing about it
at the time

I will put that up on my web site if you want it. I have been getting some
complaints about the file names. Well they are in a dos format, and when
you download them they will be longer. Nothing I can do about that. You
have to guess at the titles.
