Had the 45, listened to the song a lot on FM radio, but on CD, even
remastered, it sounds less than great. Maybe it's one of those US sound
quality vs UK, or maybe best the sound quality saved for a Japanese CD.
Anyway, I did what I could to restore its luster...

When I listen to Warchild on LP, then the CD, there is a difference in
sound, as a whole.
There are things in during the intro to the title track that can't be
heard on the CD version,
prior to the remastered CD. I never bought that.

Like Pink Floyd, Jethro Tull's material was of high quality sound on
vinyl. You would think JT would sound fantastic on CD, but not the case!

I e-mail Ian Anderson about the CD we have. I have the one with Bonus
Tracks. Not sure I'll hear back. It IS remastered, I can tell by the
remxing. That is okay, just fidelity is not up to par.

Tis true about the sound. Led Zep albums were the same. First and last
crisp sounding lp was their last.

Not much into Zep, but never will forget an EP I had with Communication
Breakdown in stereo. It rocked! :-)
