Just a short list but if you hear these over and over you could go
crazy.

1. Bruce Springsteen - Santa Claus is Coming to Town
Man is this bad. I'm sure the Springsteen fanatics will disagree
but this one is the worst of the worst.

2. Paul McCartney - Wonderful Christmas Time
I think even Paul may be embarassed by this now.

3. Newsong - The Christmas Shoes
Mama dying on Christmas. What a happy holiday moment.

4. Madonna - Santa Baby
Madonna had no right touching this song after it was done so
perfectly by Eartha Kitt

5. Jackson Five - I Saw Mommy Kissing Santa Claus
I never heard much of this until this year but I've heard it
enough to last forever. Michael sounds like his balls are in a vise.

Seems most bad Christmas music is from the more recent years. The
classics still stand. It wouldn't be Christmas without Johnny Mathis.
Happy Holidays.

Not the greatest rendition of the song but I think he meant it as a
joke, you can hear him
practically laughing between the verses.

I'm not a Springsteen fanatic. I like a few of his hits but don't own
any albums. I do, however, enjoy this version. It sounds like
everyone is having a great time.

I think this could be barely passable if it was a Madonna original but
I doubt that anyone who has ever heard Eartha Kitt could listen to M
for more than 20 seconds

My #1;

Grandma Got.... Excrutiatingly bad, even for a novelty song.

When I hear "I Saw Mommy Kissing Santa Claus" I remember two things
from my childhood, neither of which are particularly Christmas
related.

First, I remember hearing something played by a morning radio jock on
a local station called "I Saw Daddy Kissing Santa Claus" that they
played canned laughter behind (I knew this because every time they
played it you'd hear the same laugh at the exact same time).
Evidently, the bit was either taped from another market's station or
included in some type of network feed sent to affiliate stations.
Another song of this type was called "Grandma Got Knocked Up By a
Reindeer" that was funny the first few times I heard it...not so much
the next 650 times.

The second thing is one of my boyhood chums. We used to do our own
alternate versions of songs where we'd insert vulgar or obscene lyrics
for the real ones. I know it's a pretty common thing for kids 13-17
but my buddy James did a very impressive version he called "I Saw
Mommy Screwing Santa Claus" where he went on to describe in lurid
detail about what Mommy and Santa were doing under the Christmas tree.
He put a lot of effort into the song and it never failed to crack us
all up. I really wish somebody had gotten that on tape for posterity.

So when I hear that song, it makes me happy even if the version is
garbage.

A few years back somebody did a song called "Chipmunks Roasting Over
An Open Fire". After seeing the previews for the latest Alvin & the
Chipmunks movie, I would hope somebody gets that fire going good
again.

This year, I managed to get through the whole Xmas season without once
hearing "Grandma Got Run Over By A Reindeer." Woo-hoo!!!

I wasn't so lucky on that one.

However, I just realized that this is the first year in a long time I
didn't hear those idiot dogs barking "Jingle Bells"

Bobby Rivers. I think I have five of his Christmas parody albums.
There are usually about 15 cuts and usually about 10 are quite funny.
Not a bad batting average.
