Here are some pictures somebody posted of a record convention I was at
in Woburn, MA around mid October. I'm in the second picture down, tan
jacket, white plastic bag in hand. For anybody interested, the
well-known record collector, Victor Pearlin, is in the 6th picture
down, guy with the gray beard.
Sometimes I really miss those days....
That reminds me of the Rhino Records store in New Paltz, NY when I was
going to college there. One day, they had a sale on used LPs and to
clear a bunch out, they slapped a 25-cent tag on them. And the
pickings weren't exactly slim, either. I remember getting "Abbey Road"
in the stack and ended up buying about 300 of them. When I got home,
my wife (this was before we got married) shot me a really nasty look
when she saw what I'd brought with me. I just said..."It's not my
fault! They were a quarter apiece!"
She laughs about it now, but wasn't exactly thrilled then.
That was your problem, you SHOULD have told her to mind her own
fucking business.
Find me that one sided 45 of the Action News theme, circa early '70's!!!
Thanks!
