wasn't The Innocence a later project of the guys from The Tradewinds?

Great album! If you're into that sort of thing.

Yeah, Anders & Poncia were the principle members. But at best, The
Innocence sounded like a watered down version of The Tradewinds. Who can
forget their classic "Mairzy Doats"?

Dont knock my boys. I grew up with Vinnie and Pete, who sang on the same
corners I did in Providence. They became the Videls, went to NY, became
writers, and provided backup to numerous bands, and bacame part of the
Mystics on several records.

I didn't say they weren't talented guys; they certainly were & were involved
in quiet a few quite successful musical endeavors. That said, The Innocence
was not one of their upper tier projects.

I've never heard The Innocence so I can't say. I do have the classic
Tradewinds album with New York's a Lonely Town and Mind Excursion.
Funny how stuff can stick in your head, like the fact that they turned
into The Innocence. Kinda like I know the one guy from The Magicians
was part of Bunky and Jake. It's not particularly useful information
but it's something that stuck and I'm not likely to forget it.
