I should listen to check if I have a remix of this, a lot were.

Though this came from a CD, there's a telltale sign it's a rip from an LP.

I don't know how you can say that? What is the telltale sign?
There is one fairly obvious rip from a CD on that though, in mono and
lacking the vibrancy of the other songs, and with audible pops.
The rest is a mixture of remastered 2-track originals, and questionable
mixing of the 3-track masters into stereo.
A lot of mono originals may sound lacklustre but it doesn't mean they
came from LPs.

Telltale Tell-Tale. To Tell a Tale - that reveals or betrays what is not
intended to be known.

Her Mercury Greatest Hits LP was one of my most treasured LPs, it
sounded really good, mostly in Stereo, though it didn't include this
later song!

My own copy of Gore's "Brink Of Disaster"--a truly terrible record, IMOPE
(in my own personal estimation), is in stereo. Peaked at #82 in 1967.

The person who did the remixing of some of the material needs a good
talking to Uni. I listened to a new CD of The Remains and it took a bit
of time to get used to the increase in sound quality. But I really do
think they remastered the two-track masters. I have the original The
Remains LP I bought in a second hand record shop over 20 years ago, now
I read it is very rare and saw it on Ebay for $129.

It hit me like a ton of bricks when I read it! Why did Lesley's quality
recordings fade away? Yeah, it was Bob Crewe who produced this! It
matches the Four Seasons less than great quality recordings! Bob must of
been Jerry Wexler's brother!!!!
