His pretty balls?
Or is she saying he's 'pretty bald?'
His pretty bar???
I think it's "his dueling scar."
it's not his dueling scar and there's nothing in there like "we call
him Jill". I don't know where some people get some of these "lyrics"
they post on the internet.
I always heard it as "He's pretty boss in his brand new car" but
listening to it tonight it could very well be "his pretty bar and his
brand new car". I prefer the "boss" interpretation though.

Well excuse the fuck out of me, Eric! I was merely offering what I
thought I heard on the record. I'm so-o-o sorry to have offended your
clearly superior sensibilities.
You heard "his dueling scar?"
This is what I hear
The Ad Libs sing
his mini bar
The Manhattan Transfer sing
his dueling scar
The Darts skip that verse
Then, there is another version posted under the Whitburn R&B collection
that is attributed to the Ad Libs, but is a different take for sure and not
as good as the version Ive come to know as the original. I think this is
the one that Jan Dean is talking about. In this version, it sounds like
his pretty bar
Dean,
I see Rocky says the Manhattan Transfer version has "dueling scar". Is
that the one you were referring to? I've only been thinking about the
Ad Libs version.
