A - It's not rock.

B - It's not very good. Nothing but roller rink music.

---------------
C - "Space Guitar" by Johnny Guitar Watson predated it by over 9 years.

What about "Jupiter C" by Pat & The Satellites - 1958?

I like that one a lot better than "Telstar"! It's on my walking playlist.
(Actually I like it a lot better than "Space Guitar" too. "Space Guitar"
was way ahead of its time, but it does hurt my ears.)

There is also "Rocket To The Moon" by Moon Mullican on King 1198,
1953.

Would you share your definition of rock, including several examples of
what is and what is not?
Thanks

For that matter, wasn't Buddy Holly's music "roller rink music"? I
thought they started out playing at a roller rink.

"Rocket 88," by Jackie Brenston (Ike Turner too) may or may not have been the
first r&r song but there is no firm consensus on that.
It is a great tune though...
