Since the above link is out of date, as she publishes a new cartoon
for the Daily News editorial page almost every day, here is the

She wouldn't bother me so much, if she weren't the consumate political
two-faced hypocrite that she is....why? Read this article in the
Washington Post about how she used her line-item veto power as
state governor in Alaska to slash or eliminate state funding for a
program that helps teenage mothers find inexpensive housing:

Therefore she deserves any vitriol and calling on the dogs of the
press or political opposition she ever happens to attract.

Even assuming that the story is 100% accurate, something that's
disputed in the comments following, how would this make her a
hypocrite?

Well, it belies the fact that she is a fighter for the little
people. The Republicans especially, by and large (although not 100%
of them), but not exclusively either,
like to foster or promote the image that their quest, the fight is for
the little people, or for those disenfranchised of privilege and
power, like the powers that be that run and dominate the Republican
Party, actually are themselves. Not only do they talk a good talk,
better than most Democrats, but they'll never walk the walk. George
W. Bush is the perfection, or at least perfect distillation or
representation of this point, but most Republican apples don't fall
far from his tree, either. In this art of illusion presented to get
over on rank and file voters, is the essence of hypocrisy.

I suppose that you could read it that way, if you're willing to take
the article at face value. There are often various reasons why
spending bills get vetoed though.
