Let's see...Mike was greatly influenced by the music his mother played, which was '50s pop basically.
Probably everyone else here who have children played '50s R&R/R&B since it was YOUR favorite music .Did they:
Ignore it?
Reject it?
Acquire a taste for it?
Love it?
Hate it?
I've got no kids, but my 28 year old godson, a struggling singer/songwriter (Is "struggling" a necessary modifier when it comes before singer/songwriter?), if asked, would say..."some of its OK" with no specificity beyond that, but he only heard a modicum of '50s music as a kid.... more »
