My memory.
I saw John Lee Hooker and Jimmy Reed in small hall in San Jose Ca. It was probably
the mid 60's. The performances were not all that memorable, as I believe they
both used one of those local 'house' bands. The thing that I still vividly
remember is Jimmy Reed was so drunk, he eventually fell down backwards. He

The song itself is registered with BMI under both titles. I personally
think it was a simple titling mistake by Imperial but I'm loath to say
so for sure since the one person who could have categorically
confirmed this (see above) ---Fats himself---didn't

It A Shame" for both Pat Boone's and Fats Domino's versions of the song (even
though the label on Boone's had the correct title) when each of the records
debuted, then both magazines changed the title for both artists to "Ain't
